This video is an example of one of the typical scenes of "espichas" where the people laugh, amuse themself, get drunk, dance in order to spend the most enterteining evening.
Besides the "espichas", the faculties realize many and varied games during the year. In the following photos we show some examples and some videos.

Se parece muy divertido.
Es raro ver algo como asi si no es un festival.
That looks like a lot of fun. Its rare to see something like that unless theres a festival.
Hola. Me llamo YeSeul...
Beben muchos los estudiantes? Aqui en nuestra escuela, solo hay fiestas en los fraternidades...Hay fraternidades en tu escuela?
Do students in Spain drink often? Here at our school, there are only parties hosted by fraternities.
We have such institutional-wide "study breaks" also. There's usually one in the beginning of the school year to welcome all the students back. We called it a picnic in the Killian court, which is a common area with grass and trees surrounded by three academic buildings. There we have music, sandwiches, drinks (not alcoholic, because only people over 21 can drink and it's usually not a norm for the school to provide alcohols), games, and sometimes free stuff like puzzles or cups. Then there's one in the spring near the end of the year to revive the student spirit. However, most celebrations are within each dormitory, fraternity, department, or organization themselves.
That looks really fun! Do the students usually rely heavily on this event to be able to pursue their careers? We don't have anything like that in the EEUU. The only thing that would be close is a graduation party. Where your friends and family give you gifts, be it money or something memorable. I wish we had something like that!
